- Click "Crop image" and download your newly framed shot.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I crop an image to a specific aspect ratio?
Yes. Our cropper includes preset aspect ratios like 1:1 (perfect for Instagram posts or avatars), 16:9 (for YouTube thumbnails and presentations), 4:5, and 3:2. You can also select 'Free' to crop to any custom rectangle.
Does cropping reduce the file size?
Yes, because cropping removes pixels from the image, the resulting file will naturally have a smaller resolution and a smaller file size.
Is this secure for sensitive documents or personal photos?
Absolutely. The entire cropping interface runs locally in your web browser. Nothing is ever transmitted over the network or saved on our servers.
Can I undo a crop if I make a mistake?
While you are adjusting the crop box, the image is unaffected. Once you click 'Crop image', a new file is generated. Your original file is never overwritten, and you can always hit 'Start over' to try again.
